My Life Currently

So here at BYU time passes in strange ways. We are so busy that the weeks pass very quickly, but the days are twice as long. If you don't see someone for a day it feels like a week. This just adds to the fact that we seem to move from test to test, essay to essay.

Which brings me to my next point:  midterms sound like a week of tests, but in fact I have been taking midterms for going on the THIRD WEEK. It's exhausting and stressful. But on a non-school note, its fun up here! This is what we have been up to lately in Stover 3200:

Oktoberfest!!!

Joey and Katie Jane playing with the cutouts.

Joey and Carliegh with none other than Martin Luther and Angela Merkel the Chancellor of Germany.

Cutouts are fun!!

Joey creeping on Angela Merkel.

Joey and Ashley switched jackets.

Spark!!

We love Nikki!!

Our view at our table. Carliegh and Moriah enjoyed it quite a lot.
Back at Stover.

We decorated out urinals. Happy Fall!!

Yeah, I Know it's Late.

So yesterday was a very crazy day. I had to write two essays that were due today. It was very high-stress but I got them all turned in and everything was great.

Today in my development class we were talking about self and identity development and all this stuff and my teacher asked us who we are and everyone said "children of God". Is it bad that I said my name first? Then he decided to compare genders and asked all the girls who we are and there was a mass recitation of the personal progress theme. It took me a while to catch on. I guess that shows just how out of practice I am with Young Woman's!

This picture is from pinterest. A web site that my roommate got me addicted to. One more awesome distraction!!!

Also, today I started watching the show New Girl with some girls on my floor. It is my new favorite show second only to Modern Family. It is so funny.

Watch it. Also I'm really excited for my parents to come in less than six days!!! Woo Hoo!!!! And on that note I have to go to bed so I can study for my four tests next week!!

Update.

So it has been very busy up here at college as you can tell by my lack of blogging. So here's the update:

-Monday after conference I receive a strange knock on my door in the middle of the day. It was Sister Willis and her daughter coming to visit me on their way home from conference. She gave me about 15 mom hugs and this.

A huge, fun present! That was filled with this.

Diet Coke and Paradise Bakery. De-li-cious.

Then for some reason on Wednesday it decided to drop 30+ degrees and SNOW!!! Even down on campus, though it didn't stick. Here is the wide shot.

The snow stuck all the way down to the Y!

It was fun to have the cold weather for a while but I'm glad its over. I'm not ready for winter yet because 1) it's very cold and wet here in the winter and 2) we haven't even enjoyed our fall yet! So along with the crazy snow, it rained pretty much non-stop for about 3 days. And our very old dorm just couldn't handle it.

My friend Ashley standing by the water catching buckets. Disgusting. It's yellow. Then on friday, we went to this place called Lowe's Extreme Air Sports aka the tumbling gym. And this was Becca's favorite activity.

Saturday was the game and it was still very freezing so we got all bundled up to go watch BYU dominate. Then on our way home from Costa Vida, we noticed that only half the Y was lit. Too funny.

If you can't tell that's the mis-shapen yellow object in the background. So all in all, a very cold weird random crazy busy week!

Priesthood Girls Night.

So as I have mentioned before, my floor is very fun. Today we decided to go out to a fancy dinner during priesthood session. We went to Tempinyaki Grill which is one of those Japanese places were they cook right in front of you. It was very cool. And tasty. It was very nice to get off campus, even though we had a bit of a hard time getting there! It took us two U-turns and a three point turn on main road to find our way. I really miss driving. But dinner was a blast! My floor is just great!
